I was born in a family of Musicians. My mother and Maternal aunts were all accomplished singers and music lecturers by profession. My talent was identified in early years of my life. From the age of 3, I started learning music from my first guru my mother Mrs Madhu Bhatnagar.

Mother - Mrs Madhu Bathnagar is a accompalised vocalist and shishya of Pandit Ram Sewak Tiwari.

I hail from city of Kanpur which is proud to westo many big national and international level artists. It is culturally very rich city and finding the right Guru in the city was not a very difficult process. I started my formal Hindustani Classical training from my first guru Pandit Bhagwan Dayal Srivastava from Lucknow Gharana at the age of 12 years. I fondly remember, travelling with my father on his scooter to Pandit ji's house in Kanpur. After that since Bhagwan Dayal Srivastava got sick I had to change my Guru and my second guru was Pandit Kashinath Bodas(brother of great renowned classical singer Veena Sahasrabuddhe). During my college days I also took training of light vocal / Bollywood singing from Sri Prashant Chatterjee (the guru of renowned playback singer Abhijit Bhattacharya). I did my BA Music from Kanpur University.

My Delhi Sojourn: Then I shifted to Delhi and did my MA, MPhil Music Vocal from Faculty of Music and Fine Arts Delhi University. Here I got the opportunity to interact and get guidance from some of the big names in Music World. Professor Pandit Debu Chowdhary(Sitarist), Dr A.S.Pantel(Vocalist), Late Sri Shafaat Ahmed Khan(Tabla Vadak), Dr Deepak Kumar Chatterjee(Vocalist), Dr Krishna Bisht(Vocalist), Pandit Gulam Sadique Khan(Vocalist of Rampur Gharana) were some of my Lecturers whom I fondly remember and who helped me hone my musical and singing skills.

After my college and university days I had a brief stint in teaching music as a guest lecturer in leading DU college. As a freelancer i did a lot of Events, Stage Show for Corporate & Educational Institutions, Cultural Events, Launch Promotion Events, Playback Recordings/Singing in studios for various albums and advertisement jingles, Folk Music, voice over for Documentaries, Central and State Government level events.

I did a cameo appearance in a Bollywood Movie "30 Minutes" and a teleseries "Chupa Rustam" for NDTV.

I am a regular singer in the panel of AIR and Doordarshan where I have done numerous recordings and Live Shows. I am a approved light music and folk singer from AIR/Doordarshan.

I had a professional training under two Gurus Pandit Mohinder Sareen(Renowned Music Composer) in Ghazal and Non Filmy music and Kailash Verma(Director in AIR/Doordarshan) in folk music.

I am very thankful to God for what I am today. I owe all this to my parents and Gurus. I am a Musician by heart and soul. I enjoy my singing and when i am not performing I am teaching Music to kids and youngsters. I run a Boutique Music academy and provide diploma certificate course in Music too. Having accomplished so much, I still feel there is so much to learn more. To quench my never ending thirst for learning, I am currently getting trained for Khayal Gayaki from Pt. Baldev Raj Verma from Indore Gharana.
